The public review period for the draft
Creative City Road Map is now complete.

Welcome to the Creative City Road Map, the City of Minneapolis’ planning process to think more strategically about how its arts and creative assets can best contribute to the local and regional economy and improve Minneapolis’ quality of life. We invite you to engage with us through our artist-led engagements throughout the City over the next few months, through the community survey, and by attending our open houses. Check out our community calendar for more information on what’s coming up and our blog for up-to-date reporting on the planning process.

The role of arts and culture in the City of Minneapolis, and the way the City chooses to support these industries and activities, is changing. The planning process is guided by an interest in how arts, culture and the creative economy makes Minneapolis a more welcoming and desirable place to live, and gives underserved Minneapolitans access to economic and social returns. The Creative City Road Map’s vision is that arts and cultural activities have the capacity to expand the economic ‘pie’ and help more people reap benefits.
